Ashley has been in private practice since 2014.
She has Masters degrees in Acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, and Biology. Ashley completed a post graduate program at the White Pine Institute to further her knowledge in Chinese medicine theory and herbal medicine and has training in Zheng Gu Tui Na, Chinese medical bodywork.
Before becoming a practitioner of Chinese medicine, I taught biology and marveled at the intricacies and natural wisdom of the body. I had a life-changing experience with acupuncture when I was 26; after about 4 treatments, my extreme neck pain and dependence on using an inhaler for asthma were greatly improved. Acupuncture had a profound effect on my quality of life. That, my love for medicine, and belief in treating the root cause of illness inspired me to pursue this rewarding career.
The effectiveness of acupuncture and how it works within the body fascinates me; Chinese medicine facilitates healing by teaching the body to heal itself. It does this in a way that promotes balance and encourages well-being without creating harmful side effects.
This area holds a special place in my heart. I especially enjoy spending time in the Adirondacks. I hope to see you at the clinic!
